A few months back I read this fascinating article about a woman who started up her own gourmet Sea-Salt Taffy company. She actually started it as a hobby learning how to make taffy and then experimenting with various ingredients to come up with the PERFECT sea-salt taffy. Then she started selling at markets and grew herself a nice little empire.
In the article she talked about her search for a good quality GREY sea salt. I had no idea what she was talking about, because my only experience with salt is … table salt, white sea salt and the course pickling salt my Grandmother used when making dill pickles.
So … I stumbled across this fabulous website that discusses all the different kinds of salts, shows fabulous photos and of course, sells the stuff.
Take a look, you’ll be as amazed as I was (am)! Gourmet Salt: Reference Guide
Of course, if you have high blood pressure, you’ve just got to stay away from salt. Don’t tempt yourself by visiting this site!!

I’m looking at this site right now … and the product Proactol. Looks interesting, especially the fact that it helps to reduce Cholesterol. I also like the idea that it has a very high fibre content. I have been losing weight, slowly but consistently because of my high fibre supplements.
Take a look at the Proactol Website
